Verse 1
ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنُ

Ar Rahmaan
Translation
The Most Merciful
Verse 2
عَلَّمَ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ
Pronunciation
'Allamal Quran
Translation
Taught the Qur'an,
Verse 3
خَلَقَ ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنَ
Pronunciation
Khalaqal insaan
Translation
Created man,
Verse 4
عَلَّمَهُ ٱلۡبَیَانَ
Pronunciation
'Allamalhul bayaan
Translation
[And] taught him eloquence.
Verse 5
ٱلشَّمۡسُ وَٱلۡقَمَرُ بِحُسۡبَانࣲ
Pronunciation
Ashshamsu walqamaru bihusbaan
Translation
The sun and the moon [move] by precise calculation,
Verse 6
وَٱلنَّجۡمُ وَٱلشَّجَرُ یَسۡجُدَانِ
Pronunciation
Wannajmu washshajaru yasjudan
Translation
And the stars and trees prostrate.
Verse 7
وَٱلسَّمَاۤءَ رَفَعَهَا وَوَضَعَ ٱلۡمِیزَانَ
Pronunciation
Wassamaaa'a rafa'ahaa wa wada'al Meezan
Translation
And the heaven He raised and imposed the balance
Verse 8
أَلَّا تَطۡغَوۡا۟ فِی ٱلۡمِیزَانِ
Pronunciation
Allaa tatghaw fil meezaan
Translation
That you not transgress within the balance.
Verse 9
وَأَقِیمُوا۟ ٱلۡوَزۡنَ بِٱلۡقِسۡطِ وَلَا تُخۡسِرُوا۟ ٱلۡمِیزَانَ
Pronunciation
Wa aqeemul wazna bilqisti wa laa tukhsirul meezaan
Translation
And establish weight in justice and do not make deficient the balance.
Verse 10
وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَضَعَهَا لِلۡأَنَامِ
Pronunciation
Wal arda wada'ahaa lilanaame
Translation
And the earth He laid [out] for the creatures.
Verse 11
فِیهَا فَـٰكِهَةࣱ وَٱلنَّخۡلُ ذَاتُ ٱلۡأَكۡمَامِ
Pronunciation
Feehaa faakihatunw wan nakhlu zaatul akmaam
Translation
in it is fruit and palm trees having sheaths [of dates]

وَٱلۡحَبُّ ذُو ٱلۡعَصۡفِ وَٱلرَّیۡحَانُ
Pronunciation
Walhabbu zul 'asfi war Raihaanu
Translation
And grain having husks and scented plants.
Verse 13
فَبِأَیِّ ءَالَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Pronunciation
Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan
Translation
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
Verse 14
خَلَقَ ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنَ مِن صَلۡصَـٰلࣲ كَٱلۡفَخَّارِ
Pronunciation
Khalaqal insaana min salsaalin kalfakhkhaari
Translation
He created man from clay like [that of] pottery.
Verse 15
وَخَلَقَ ٱلۡجَاۤنَّ مِن مَّارِجࣲ مِّن نَّارࣲ
Pronunciation
Wa khalaqal jaaan mim maarijim min naar
Translation
And He created the jinn from a smokeless flame of fire.
Verse 16
فَبِأَیِّ ءَالَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Pronunciation
Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan
Translation
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
Verse 17
رَبُّ ٱلۡمَشۡرِقَیۡنِ وَرَبُّ ٱلۡمَغۡرِبَیۡنِ
Pronunciation
Rabbul mashriqayni wa Rabbul maghribayni
Translation
[He is] Lord of the two sunrises and Lord of the two sunsets.
Verse 18
فَبِأَیِّ ءَالَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Pronunciation
Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan
Translation
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
Verse 19
مَرَجَ ٱلۡبَحۡرَیۡنِ یَلۡتَقِیَانِ
Pronunciation
Marajal bahrayni yalta qiyaani
Translation
He released the two seas, meeting [side by side];
Verse 20
بَیۡنَهُمَا بَرۡزَخࣱ لَّا یَبۡغِیَانِ
Pronunciation
Bainahumaa barzakhul laa yabghiyaan
Translation
Between them is a barrier [so] neither of them transgresses.
Verse 21
فَبِأَیِّ ءَالَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Pronunciation
Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan
Translation
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
Verse 22
یَخۡرُجُ مِنۡهُمَا ٱللُّؤۡلُؤُ وَٱلۡمَرۡجَانُ
Pronunciation
Yakhruju minhumal lu 'lu u wal marjaanu
Translation
From both of them emerge pearl and coral.
Verse 23
فَبِأَیِّ ءَالَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Pronunciation
Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan
Translation
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
Verse 24
وَلَهُ ٱلۡجَوَارِ ٱلۡمُنشَـَٔاتُ فِی ٱلۡبَحۡرِ كَٱلۡأَعۡلَـٰمِ
Pronunciation
Wa lahul jawaaril mun sha'aatu fil bahri kal a'laam
Translation
And to Him belong the ships [with sails] elevated in the sea like mountains.
Verse 25
فَبِأَیِّ ءَالَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Pronunciation
Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
Translation
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
Verse 26
كُلُّ مَنۡ عَلَیۡهَا فَانࣲ
Pronunciation
Kullu man 'alaihaa faan
Translation
Everyone upon the earth will perish,
Verse 27
وَیَبۡقَىٰ وَجۡهُ رَبِّكَ ذُو ٱلۡجَلَـٰلِ وَٱلۡإِكۡرَامِ
Pronunciation
Wa yabqaa wajhu rabbika zul jalaali wal ikraam
Translation
And there will remain the Face of your Lord, Owner of Majesty and Honor.
Verse 28
فَبِأَیِّ ءَالَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Pronunciation
Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
Translation
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
Verse 29
یَسۡـَٔلُهُۥ مَن فِی ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ كُلَّ یَوۡمٍ هُوَ فِی شَأۡنࣲ
Pronunciation
Yas'aluhoo man fissamaawaati walard; kulla ywmin huwa fee shaan
Translation
Whoever is within the heavens and earth asks Him; every day He is bringing about a matter.
Verse 30
فَبِأَیِّ ءَالَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Pronunciation
Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
Translation
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
Verse 31
سَنَفۡرُغُ لَكُمۡ أَیُّهَ ٱلثَّقَلَانِ
Pronunciation
Sanafrughu lakum ayyuhas saqalaan
Translation
We will attend to you, O prominent beings.
Verse 32
فَبِأَیِّ ءَالَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Pronunciation
Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
Translation
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
Verse 33
یَـٰمَعۡشَرَ ٱلۡجِنِّ وَٱلۡإِنسِ إِنِ ٱسۡتَطَعۡتُمۡ أَن تَنفُذُوا۟ مِنۡ أَقۡطَارِ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ فَٱنفُذُوا۟ۚ لَا تَنفُذُونَ إِلَّا بِسُلۡطَـٰنࣲ
Pronunciation
Yaa ma'sharal jinni wal insi inis tata'tum an tanfuzoo min aqtaaris samaawaati wal ardi fanfuzoo; laa tanfuzoona illaa bisultaan
Translation
O company of jinn and mankind, if you are able to pass beyond the regions of the heavens and the earth, then pass. You will not pass except by authority [from Allah].
Verse 34
فَبِأَیِّ ءَالَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Pronunciation
Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
Translation
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
Verse 35
یُرۡسَلُ عَلَیۡكُمَا شُوَاظࣱ مِّن نَّارࣲ وَنُحَاسࣱ فَلَا تَنتَصِرَانِ
Pronunciation
Yursalu 'alaikumaa shuwaazum min naarifiw-wa nuhaasun falaa tantasiraan
Translation
There will be sent upon you a flame of fire and smoke, and you will not defend yourselves.
Verse 36
فَبِأَیِّ ءَالَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Pronunciation
Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
Translation
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
Verse 37
فَإِذَا ٱنشَقَّتِ ٱلسَّمَاۤءُ فَكَانَتۡ وَرۡدَةࣰ كَٱلدِّهَانِ
Pronunciation
Fa-izan shaqqatis samaaa'u fakaanat wardatan kaddihaan
Translation
And when the heaven is split open and becomes rose-colored like oil -
Verse 38
فَبِأَیِّ ءَالَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Pronunciation
Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
Translation
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -
Verse 39
فَیَوۡمَىِٕذࣲ لَّا یُسۡـَٔلُ عَن ذَنۢبِهِۦۤ إِنسࣱ وَلَا جَاۤنࣱّ
Pronunciation
Fa-yawma'izil laa yus'alu 'an zambiheee insunw wa laa jaann
Translation
Then on that Day none will be asked about his sin among men or jinn.
Verse 40
فَبِأَیِّ ءَالَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Pronunciation
Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
Translation
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
Verse 41
یُعۡرَفُ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَ بِسِیمَـٰهُمۡ فَیُؤۡخَذُ بِٱلنَّوَ ٰصِی وَٱلۡأَقۡدَامِ
Pronunciation
Yu'raful mujrimoona biseemaahum fa'yu'khazu binna waasi wal aqdaam
Translation
The criminals will be known by their marks, and they will be seized by the forelocks and the feet.
Verse 42
فَبِأَیِّ ءَالَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Pronunciation
Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
Translation
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
Verse 43
هَـٰذِهِۦ جَهَنَّمُ ٱلَّتِی یُكَذِّبُ بِهَا ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَ
Pronunciation
Haazihee jahannamul latee yukazzibu bihal mujrimoon
Translation
This is Hell, which the criminals deny.
Verse 44
یَطُوفُونَ بَیۡنَهَا وَبَیۡنَ حَمِیمٍ ءَانࣲ
Pronunciation
Yatoofoona bainahaa wa baina hameemim aan
Translation
They will go around between it and scalding water, heated [to the utmost degree].
Verse 45
فَبِأَیِّ ءَالَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Pronunciation
Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
Translation
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
Verse 46
وَلِمَنۡ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِۦ جَنَّتَانِ
Pronunciation
Wa liman khaafa maqaama rabbihee jannataan
Translation
But for he who has feared the position of his Lord are two gardens -
Verse 47
فَبِأَیِّ ءَالَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Pronunciation
Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
Translation
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -
Verse 48
ذَوَاتَاۤ أَفۡنَانࣲ
Pronunciation
Zawaataaa afnaan
Translation
Having [spreading] branches.
Verse 49
فَبِأَیِّ ءَالَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Pronunciation
Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
Translation
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
Verse 50
فِیهِمَا عَیۡنَانِ تَجۡرِیَانِ
Pronunciation
Feehimaa 'aynaani tajriyaan
Translation
In both of them are two springs, flowing.
Verse 51
فَبِأَیِّ ءَالَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Pronunciation
Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
Translation
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
Verse 52
فِیهِمَا مِن كُلِّ فَـٰكِهَةࣲ زَوۡجَانِ
Pronunciation
Feehimaa min kulli faakihatin zawjaan
Translation
In both of them are of every fruit, two kinds.
Verse 53
فَبِأَیِّ ءَالَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Pronunciation
Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
Translation
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
Verse 54
مُتَّكِـِٔینَ عَلَىٰ فُرُشِۭ بَطَاۤىِٕنُهَا مِنۡ إِسۡتَبۡرَقࣲۚ وَجَنَى ٱلۡجَنَّتَیۡنِ دَانࣲ
Pronunciation
Muttaki'eena 'alaa furushim bataaa'inuhaa min istabraq; wajanal jannataini daan
Translation
[They are] reclining on beds whose linings are of silk brocade, and the fruit of the two gardens is hanging low.
Verse 55
فَبِأَیِّ ءَالَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Pronunciation
Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
Translation
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
Verse 56
فِیهِنَّ قَـٰصِرَ ٰتُ ٱلطَّرۡفِ لَمۡ یَطۡمِثۡهُنَّ إِنسࣱ قَبۡلَهُمۡ وَلَا جَاۤنࣱّ
Pronunciation
Feehinna qaasiratut tarfi lam yatmishunna insun qablahum wa laa jaaann
Translation
In them are women limiting [their] glances, untouched before them by man or jinni -
Verse 57
فَبِأَیِّ ءَالَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Pronunciation
Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
Translation
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -
Verse 58
كَأَنَّهُنَّ ٱلۡیَاقُوتُ وَٱلۡمَرۡجَانُ
Pronunciation
ka annahunnal yaaqootu wal marjaan
Translation
As if they were rubies and coral.
Verse 59
فَبِأَیِّ ءَالَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Pronunciation
Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
Translation
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
Verse 60
هَلۡ جَزَاۤءُ ٱلۡإِحۡسَـٰنِ إِلَّا ٱلۡإِحۡسَـٰنُ
Pronunciation
Hal jazaaa'ul ihsaani illal ihsaan
Translation
Is the reward for good [anything] but good?
Verse 61
فَبِأَیِّ ءَالَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Pronunciation
Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
Translation
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
Verse 62
وَمِن دُونِهِمَا جَنَّتَانِ
Pronunciation
Wa min doonihimaa jannataan
Translation
And below them both [in excellence] are two [other] gardens -
Verse 63
فَبِأَیِّ ءَالَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Pronunciation
Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
Translation
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -
Verse 64
مُدۡهَاۤمَّتَانِ
Pronunciation
Mudhaaammataan
Translation
Dark green [in color].
Verse 65
فَبِأَیِّ ءَالَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Pronunciation
Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
Translation
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
Verse 66
فِیهِمَا عَیۡنَانِ نَضَّاخَتَانِ
Pronunciation
Feehimaa 'aynaani nad daakhataan
Translation
In both of them are two springs, spouting.
Verse 67
فَبِأَیِّ ءَالَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Pronunciation
Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
Translation
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
Verse 68
فِیهِمَا فَـٰكِهَةࣱ وَنَخۡلࣱ وَرُمَّانࣱ
Pronunciation
Feehimaa faakihatunw wa nakhlunw wa rummaan
Translation
In both of them are fruit and palm trees and pomegranates.
Verse 69
فَبِأَیِّ ءَالَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Pronunciation
Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
Translation
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
Verse 70
فِیهِنَّ خَیۡرَ ٰتٌ حِسَانࣱ
Pronunciation
Feehinna khairaatun hisaan
Translation
In them are good and beautiful women -
Verse 71
فَبِأَیِّ ءَالَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Pronunciation
Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
Translation
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -
Verse 72
حُورࣱ مَّقۡصُورَ ٰتࣱ فِی ٱلۡخِیَامِ
Pronunciation
Hoorum maqsooraatun fil khiyaam
Translation
Fair ones reserved in pavilions -
Verse 73
فَبِأَیِّ ءَالَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Pronunciation
Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
Translation
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -
Verse 74
لَمۡ یَطۡمِثۡهُنَّ إِنسࣱ قَبۡلَهُمۡ وَلَا جَاۤنࣱّ
Pronunciation
Lam yatmis hunna insun qablahum wa laa jaaann
Translation
Untouched before them by man or jinni -
Verse 75
فَبِأَیِّ ءَالَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Pronunciation
Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
Translation
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -
Verse 76
مُتَّكِـِٔینَ عَلَىٰ رَفۡرَفٍ خُضۡرࣲ وَعَبۡقَرِیٍّ حِسَانࣲ
Pronunciation
Muttaki'eena 'alaa rafratin khudrinw wa 'abqariyyin hisaan
Translation
Reclining on green cushions and beautiful fine carpets.
Verse 77
فَبِأَیِّ ءَالَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Pronunciation
Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan.
Translation
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
Verse 78
تَبَـٰرَكَ ٱسۡمُ رَبِّكَ ذِی ٱلۡجَلَـٰلِ وَٱلۡإِكۡرَامِ
Pronunciation
Tabaarakasmu Rabbika Zil-Jalaali wal-Ikraam
Translation
Blessed is the name of your Lord, Owner of Majesty and Honor.
