    Verse 1
    إِنَّاۤ أَرۡسَلۡنَا نُوحًا إِلَىٰ قَوۡمِهِۦۤ أَنۡ أَنذِرۡ قَوۡمَكَ مِن قَبۡلِ أَن یَأۡتِیَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ أَلِیمࣱ

    Pronunciation

    Innaaa arsalnaa Noohan ilaa qawmihee an anzir qawmaka min qabli any yaatiyahum 'azaabun aleem

    Translation

    Indeed, We sent Noah to his people, [saying], "Warn your people before there comes to them a painful punishment."
    Verse 2
    قَالَ یَـٰقَوۡمِ إِنِّی لَكُمۡ نَذِیرࣱ مُّبِینٌ

    Pronunciation

    Qaala yaa qawmi innee lakum nazeerum mubeen

    Translation

    He said, "O my people, indeed I am to you a clear warner,
    Verse 3
    أَنِ ٱعۡبُدُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَٱتَّقُوهُ وَأَطِیعُونِ

    Pronunciation

    Ani'udul laaha watta qoohu wa atee'oon

    Translation

    [Saying], 'Worship Allah, fear Him and obey me.
    Verse 4
    یَغۡفِرۡ لَكُم مِّن ذُنُوبِكُمۡ وَیُؤَخِّرۡكُمۡ إِلَىٰۤ أَجَلࣲ مُّسَمًّىۚ إِنَّ أَجَلَ ٱللَّهِ إِذَا جَاۤءَ لَا یُؤَخَّرُۚ لَوۡ كُنتُمۡ تَعۡلَمُونَ

    Pronunciation

    Yaghfir lakum min zunoobikum wa yu'akhkhirkum ilaaa ajalim musammaa; innaa ajalal laahi izaa jaaa'a laa yu'akhkhar; law kuntum ta'lamoon

    Translation

    Allah will forgive you of your sins and delay you for a specified term. Indeed, the time [set by] Allah, when it comes, will not be delayed, if you only knew.' "
    Verse 5
    قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّی دَعَوۡتُ قَوۡمِی لَیۡلࣰا وَنَهَارࣰا

    Pronunciation

    Qaala rabbi innee da'awtu qawmee lailanw wa naharaa

    Translation

    He said, "My Lord, indeed I invited my people [to truth] night and day.
    Verse 6
    فَلَمۡ یَزِدۡهُمۡ دُعَاۤءِیۤ إِلَّا فِرَارࣰا

    Pronunciation

    Falam yazid hum du'aaa 'eee illaa firaaraa

    Translation

    But my invitation increased them not except in flight.
    Verse 7
    وَإِنِّی كُلَّمَا دَعَوۡتُهُمۡ لِتَغۡفِرَ لَهُمۡ جَعَلُوۤا۟ أَصَـٰبِعَهُمۡ فِیۤ ءَاذَانِهِمۡ وَٱسۡتَغۡشَوۡا۟ ثِیَابَهُمۡ وَأَصَرُّوا۟ وَٱسۡتَكۡبَرُوا۟ ٱسۡتِكۡبَارࣰا

    Pronunciation

    Wa inee kullamaa da'awtuhum litaghfira lahum ja'alooo asaabi'ahum fee aazaanihim wastaghshaw siyaabahum wa asaarroo wastakbarus tikbaaraa

    Translation

    And indeed, every time I invited them that You may forgive them, they put their fingers in their ears, covered themselves with their garments, persisted, and were arrogant with [great] arrogance.
    Verse 8
    ثُمَّ إِنِّی دَعَوۡتُهُمۡ جِهَارࣰا

    Pronunciation

    Summa innee da'aw tuhum jihaara

    Translation

    Then I invited them publicly.
    Verse 9
    ثُمَّ إِنِّیۤ أَعۡلَنتُ لَهُمۡ وَأَسۡرَرۡتُ لَهُمۡ إِسۡرَارࣰا

    Pronunciation

    Summaa inneee a'lantu lahum wa asrartu lahum israaraa

    Translation

    Then I announced to them and [also] confided to them secretly
    Verse 10
    فَقُلۡتُ ٱسۡتَغۡفِرُوا۟ رَبَّكُمۡ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ غَفَّارࣰا

    Pronunciation

    Faqultus taghfiroo Rabakam innahoo kaana Ghaffaaraa

    Translation

    And said, 'Ask forgiveness of your Lord. Indeed, He is ever a Perpetual Forgiver.
    Verse 11
    یُرۡسِلِ ٱلسَّمَاۤءَ عَلَیۡكُم مِّدۡرَارࣰا

    Pronunciation

    Yursilis samaaa'a 'alaikum midraaraa

    Translation

    He will send [rain from] the sky upon you in [continuing] showers
    Verse 12
    وَیُمۡدِدۡكُم بِأَمۡوَ ٰ⁠لࣲ وَبَنِینَ وَیَجۡعَل لَّكُمۡ جَنَّـٰتࣲ وَیَجۡعَل لَّكُمۡ أَنۡهَـٰرࣰا

    Pronunciation

    Wa yumdidkum bi am waalinw wa baneena wa yaj'al lakum Jannaatinw wa yaj'al lakum anhaaraa

    Translation

    And give you increase in wealth and children and provide for you gardens and provide for you rivers.
    Verse 13
    مَّا لَكُمۡ لَا تَرۡجُونَ لِلَّهِ وَقَارࣰا

    Pronunciation

    Maa lakum laa tarjoona lillaahi waqaaraa

    Translation

    What is [the matter] with you that you do not attribute to Allah [due] grandeur
    Verse 14
    وَقَدۡ خَلَقَكُمۡ أَطۡوَارًا

    Pronunciation

    Wa qad khalaqakum at waaraa

    Translation

    While He has created you in stages?
    Verse 15
    أَلَمۡ تَرَوۡا۟ كَیۡفَ خَلَقَ ٱللَّهُ سَبۡعَ سَمَـٰوَ ٰ⁠تࣲ طِبَاقࣰا

    Pronunciation

    Alam taraw kaifa khalaqal laahu sab'a samaawaatin tibaaqaa

    Translation

    Do you not consider how Allah has created seven heavens in layers
    Verse 16
    وَجَعَلَ ٱلۡقَمَرَ فِیهِنَّ نُورࣰا وَجَعَلَ ٱلشَّمۡسَ سِرَاجࣰا

    Pronunciation

    Wa ja'alal qamara feehinna nooranw wa ja'alash shamsa siraajaa

    Translation

    And made the moon in it a [reflected] light and made the sun a burning lamp?
    Verse 17
    وَٱللَّهُ أَنۢبَتَكُم مِّنَ ٱلۡأَرۡضِ نَبَاتࣰا

    Pronunciation

    Wallaahu ambatakum minal ardi nabaataa

    Translation

    And Allah has caused you to grow from the earth a [progressive] growth.
    Verse 18
    ثُمَّ یُعِیدُكُمۡ فِیهَا وَیُخۡرِجُكُمۡ إِخۡرَاجࣰا

    Pronunciation

    Summa yu'eedukum feehaa wa ukhrijukum ikhraajaa

    Translation

    Then He will return you into it and extract you [another] extraction.
    Verse 19
    وَٱللَّهُ جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ بِسَاطࣰا

    Pronunciation

    Wallaahu ja'ala lakumul arda bisaataa

    Translation

    And Allah has made for you the earth an expanse
    Verse 20
    لِّتَسۡلُكُوا۟ مِنۡهَا سُبُلࣰا فِجَاجࣰا

    Pronunciation

    Litaslukoo minhaa subulan fijaajaa

    Translation

    That you may follow in it roads of passage.' "
    Verse 21
    قَالَ نُوحࣱ رَّبِّ إِنَّهُمۡ عَصَوۡنِی وَٱتَّبَعُوا۟ مَن لَّمۡ یَزِدۡهُ مَالُهُۥ وَوَلَدُهُۥۤ إِلَّا خَسَارࣰا

    Pronunciation

    Qaala Noohur Robbi innahum 'asawnee wattaba'oo mal lam yazid hu maaluhoo wa waladuhooo illaa khasaara

    Translation

    Noah said, "My Lord, indeed they have disobeyed me and followed him whose wealth and children will not increase him except in loss.
    Verse 22
    وَمَكَرُوا۟ مَكۡرࣰا كُبَّارࣰا

    Pronunciation

    Wa makaroo makran kubbaaraa

    Translation

    And they conspired an immense conspiracy.
    Verse 23
    وَقَالُوا۟ لَا تَذَرُنَّ ءَالِهَتَكُمۡ وَلَا تَذَرُنَّ وَدࣰّا وَلَا سُوَاعࣰا وَلَا یَغُوثَ وَیَعُوقَ وَنَسۡرࣰا

    Pronunciation

    Wa qaaloo laa tazarunna aalihatakum wa laa tazarunna Waddanw wa laa Suwaa'anw wa laa Yaghoosa wa Ya'ooqa wa Nasraa

    Translation

    And said, 'Never leave your gods and never leave Wadd or Suwa' or Yaghuth and Ya'uq and Nasr.
    Verse 24
    وَقَدۡ أَضَلُّوا۟ كَثِیرࣰاۖ وَلَا تَزِدِ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِینَ إِلَّا ضَلَـٰلࣰا

    Pronunciation

    Wa qad adalloo kasee ranw wa laa tazidiz zaalimeena illaa dalaalaa

    Translation

    And already they have misled many. And, [my Lord], do not increase the wrongdoers except in error."
    Verse 25
    مِّمَّا خَطِیۤـَٔـٰتِهِمۡ أُغۡرِقُوا۟ فَأُدۡخِلُوا۟ نَارࣰا فَلَمۡ یَجِدُوا۟ لَهُم مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ أَنصَارࣰا

    Pronunciation

    Mimmaa khateee' aatihim ughriqoo fa udkhiloo Naaran falam yajidoo lahum min doonil laahi ansaaraa

    Translation

    Because of their sins they were drowned and put into the Fire, and they found not for themselves besides Allah [any] helpers.
    Verse 26
    وَقَالَ نُوحࣱ رَّبِّ لَا تَذَرۡ عَلَى ٱلۡأَرۡضِ مِنَ ٱلۡكَـٰفِرِینَ دَیَّارًا

    Pronunciation

    Wa qaala Noohur Rabbi laa tazar 'alal ardi minal kaafireena daiyaaraa

    Translation

    And Noah said, "My Lord, do not leave upon the earth from among the disbelievers an inhabitant.
    Verse 27
    إِنَّكَ إِن تَذَرۡهُمۡ یُضِلُّوا۟ عِبَادَكَ وَلَا یَلِدُوۤا۟ إِلَّا فَاجِرࣰا كَفَّارࣰا

    Pronunciation

    Innaka in tazarhum yudil loo 'ibaadaka wa laa yalidooo illaa faajiran kaffaaraa

    Translation

    Indeed, if You leave them, they will mislead Your servants and not beget except [every] wicked one and [confirmed] disbeliever.
    Verse 28
    رَّبِّ ٱغۡفِرۡ لِی وَلِوَ ٰ⁠لِدَیَّ وَلِمَن دَخَلَ بَیۡتِیَ مُؤۡمِنࣰا وَلِلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَ وَٱلۡمُؤۡمِنَـٰتِۖ وَلَا تَزِدِ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِینَ إِلَّا تَبَارَۢا

    Pronunciation

    Rabbigh fir lee wa liwaa lidaiya wa liman dakhala baitiya mu'minanw wa lil mu'mineena wal mu'minaati wa laa tazidiz zaalimeena illaa tabaaraa

    Translation

    My Lord, forgive me and my parents and whoever enters my house a believer and the believing men and believing women. And do not increase the wrongdoers except in destruction."
